Hello Third Grade Families,
Content Corner:
- Math- We are continuing to learn multiplication and division. Multiplication and division are related, so knowing multiplication will aid in division confidence. If you have flashcards, make sure you are practicing those at home with your scholar. Quiz on Friday.
- Spalding- We have 20 words this week with a review on Wednesday and test on Friday due to Field Day on Thursday.
- Reading-Read aloud 20 minutes each night and scholars are filling out the reading log.(Parents just initial) Make sure they are writing in complete sentences.
- Literature- We are discussing Native American Stories in our CKLA readers. We will be beginning the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe this Monday. Please send the book and use the links to order the book.
- Grammar- We are beginning a unit on research which will help in Ancient Rome. We will have a Home Connect on Wednesday.
- Science- We are discussing animal adaptations and the changes in habitats.
Updates and Events:
- Field Day is this Thursday November 7th. Your scholar can wear neutral athletic shorts with their city state shirt. If they wear leggings, make sure to have shorts over them.
- We are honoring Veteran's Day this Monday, November 11th.
