Hello Third Grade Families,
We are enjoying lots of learning and growing this next semester! They are growing both academically and in the heart.
Content Corner:
- Math- We are learning how to tell time with clocks. You can encourage your scholar to tell time at home so they can solidify their learning at home!
- Spalding- We have 20 words this week and test on Friday.
- Reading-Read aloud 20 minutes each night and scholars are filling out the reading log. (Parents just initial) Make sure they are writing in complete sentences.
- Literature- We are continuing to read Pinocchio this week. Ask your scholar what they are learning as Pinocchio brings out wonderful questions. The new poem, Dream Variations, will be due February 14th.
- Grammar- We are learning about different genres of writing. We will have a Home Connect on Wednesday.
- Science- We are discussing weather, climate, and natural hazards. Ancient Rome Test is on February 4th.
