Hello Third Grade Families,
We hope everyone stayed warm and enjoyed the snow day and MLK Day!
Content Corner:
- Math- Continue to persevere on the math multiplication. They should be starting to understand the multiplication. We will have a cumulative test on Monday. If you have Multiplication and Division flash cards, practice those with your child so they can know the facts from memory and not only rely on the skip counting songs.
- Spalding- We have 20 words this week and test on Friday.
- Reading-Read aloud 20 minutes each night and scholars are filling out the reading log. (Parents just initial) Make sure they are writing in complete sentences.
- Literature- We are beginning Pinocchio this week. The poem Friends, Romans, Countrymen by William Shakespeare is due Friday, January 24, 2025.
- Grammar- We are learning about prepositions, helping verbs, and linking verbs. We will have a quiz over prepositions on Thursday.
- History- We are finishing up our unit on Ancient Rome. Scholars have a study guide for the Ancient Rome Test in their folder and Test on Tuesday, February 4th. (Scholars will have a Science Test January 28th with a study guide also in their green folder)
