Hello Third Grade Families,
It is a full February! We are excited to welcome parents into the Third Grade this week!
Content Corner:
- Math- Continue to work with your scholar on telling time. We are beginning learning area and perimeter.
- Spalding- We have 30 words this week and test on Friday.
- Reading-Read aloud 20 minutes each night and scholars are filling out the reading log. (Parents just initial) Make sure they are writing in complete sentences.
- Literature- We are reading Pinocchio this week. Ask your scholar what they are learning as Pinocchio brings out wonderful questions. The new poem, Dream Variations, will be due this Friday, February 14th.
- Grammar- We are writing expository paragraphs and learning how to use a dictionary.
- Science- We are discovering meteorologists and all about the weather.
Updates and Events:
- No school for President's Day February 17th
- Viking Celebration-March 5th, sign ups go live Wednesday at 4:00pm
- We are low on some supplies. If you would like to bring in a box of EXPOS, PENCILS, or RED PENS, that would be wonderful! Thank you!
