Hello Third Grade Families,
It is a full February!
Content Corner:
- Math- We are working on area and perimeter. It is a focus on arrays and multiplying. Keeping fresh the multiplication with flash cards.
- Spalding- We have 20 words this week and test on Friday.
- Reading-Read aloud 20 minutes each night and scholars are filling out the reading log. (Parents just initial) Make sure they are writing in complete sentences.
- Literature- We are finishing Pinocchio this week. Ask your scholar what they are learning as Pinocchio brings out wonderful questions. Seminar on Thursday and Test on Friday. The new poem, The Tide Rises, will be due Friday, February 28th.
- Grammar- We are learning how to look up words in the dictionary and write persuasively.
- History- We are continuing to explore the Vikings this week. Make sure they review their study guide for the test coming up. We are slowly filling it in as a class.
