Typing Practice
If your child would like extra typing practice at home, they may log in to TypingClub at www.typingclub.com using their Clever QR code glued inside their agenda. Typing practice will never be a homework assignment or requirement, but it is available as an optional resource if this kind of activity interests your student and is something your family approves of.
IXL Math Practice
If your child would like extra math practice at home, they may log in to IXL www.ixl.comsignin/greatheartstxschools using their Clever QR code glued inside their agenda. IXL will never be a homework assignment or requirement, but it is available as an optional resource for students who enjoy additional practice and families who would like to use it at home.
Academic Updates
Grammar: We will continue analyzing adverbs in sentences and begin procedural writing. Scholars will have an Adverb Quiz on Wednesday.
History: We will begin our new unit on the Earliest Americans. Scholars will have a vocabulary quiz on Friday.
Science: We study of Life Cycles, Traits, and Variations as we prepare for our upcoming science assessment on Tuesday 9/29
Math: We will continue building our multiplication skills, focusing on understanding multiplication as repeated addition and developing fluency with our facts.
Literature: We will continue reading Little House on the Prairie. As we read, scholars will discuss character traits and practice writing and identifying strong summaries.
We look forward to another joyful and productive week together as we continue growing in knowledge, responsibility, and perseverance.
